Christchurch was beautiful, as always.

We took the train over the Southern Alps.  There was fresh snow and the train ride was awesome.

There's not a lot going on in Greymouth, but the combination of the sea and the snow covered mountains was breathtaking.

Greymouth is known for only two things, really.  It was (and still is) a coal mining town.

And it is the home of Monteith's Brewery, so we took the tour.  Look at the yeast action!
